Our Services

Sliding scale and payment plans are available for all services. Starting prices for the sliding scale range from $25/hr-$45/hr, depending on the service. We also frequently offer $150 flat fee depression nest cleanings.

Additionally, a limited amount of free cleaning and decluttering services are available every month **Photos are required to make sure you qualify; The photos will not be shared anywhere and will only be viewed by the owner, Trash, members of upper management, and the cleaner(s) after they accept the job**

Please only take advantage of our reduced prices if you are low-income and truly cannot afford the service; Our rates make it so that we can offer these types of things to the community, put money away for our Trans employees’ legal name changes, and pay our employees a living wage!

Cleanings

At Trash Friends, we provide a non-judgmental cleaning experience tailored to your needs. Our team brings their own supplies and uses only sensory-friendly cleaning products, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. Should you have specific products you prefer, feel free to provide them, and we will incorporate them into the cleaning process. You have the option to be at home during the cleaning, but if you choose not to be, that's perfectly fine as well. Your satisfaction and comfort are our top priorities.

  • $50/hr

    Kitchen:

    • Clean inside the microwave

    • Wash all dishes

    • Wipe down countertops and surfaces

    • Clean cabinet exteriors

    • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors

    Bathroom:

    • Clean and disinfect all surfaces

    • Wipe down sinks and countertops

    • Scrub the toilet

    • Clean the shower/tub area

    • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors

    Living Areas:

    • Dust all surfaces, including shelves and decorative items

    • Clean baseboards and window sills

    • Dust ceiling fans as needed

    • Tidy up items (arranging pillows, magazines, etc.)

    • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors

    Bedrooms:

    • Make all beds

    • Dust surfaces and furniture

    • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors

    Flooring:

    • Ensure all floors are cleaned by sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping as needed.

    Final Touches:

    • Remove all garbage from the premises

    • Sanitize high-touch surfaces (doorknobs, handles, light switches)

    • ensure all areas are tidy and clutter has been minimized to whatever extent possible

  • $50/hr

    Deep cleanings are general cleanings plus wiping down all baseboards, cleaning all interior windows, dusting ceiling fans, and spot cleaning walls.

    Note: Some things just can’t be cleaned off, but we can try!

    We recommend a deep cleaning for your first appointment and/or if it has been more than 3 months since your last thorough cleaning.

  • $50/hr

    Move-in/out cleanings include everything we do during a deep cleaning as well as cleaning inside the refrigerator, cleaning inside the oven, and cleaning inside all cabinets, drawers, and closets. If you have been provided with a cleaning list by your landlord, we will make sure to cover any additional tasks they have requested. We can provide you with a copy of the invoice marked as paid for your landlord or building management, upon request.

  • $50/hr

    As with all of our cleanings, we will adhere to any budget constraints you have and prioritize the tasks most important to you. We can pick up and take out trash, wash all your dishes, wash and put away laundry, remove expired food from the refrigerator and clean the interior, clean and change litter boxes- anything that will be most helpful to you

  • Could your car use some care? We offer general vehicle interior cleanings and also interior detailing!

    • general declutter/cleaning $50/hr

    • detailing $100-$150/hr

    Please note, access to an electrical outlet is required. If this is not accessible to you, we may be able to arrange a drop off/pick up at a suitable location!

  • $100/hr with a one hour minimum

    We offer cleanings of both carpet and furniture as an add-on to a cleaning or as a stand-alone service!

  • For commercial properties and AirBnBs we offer flat rate cleanings. These rates are determined on a case-by-case basis and are dependent on the size of the space and the scope of your needs. For an estimate, please email Chicago@TrashFriends.com with photos of the space; Be sure to include information on what services you would like and how frequently you will need cleanings.

Decluttering

$50-60/hour

A person who helps others declutter is called a “professional organizer.” The average cost for this service is $300-$800 for a three-hour session. At Trash Friends, our professional organizers charge $60 per hour for in-home services and $50 per hour for virtual sessions, with free consultations available. Sessions can be two to four hours long. We do not recommend more than four hours of decluttering at once unless it's an emergency. You need to be home during the session while the organizer helps you decide what to keep, toss, or donate. They can also assist in organizing the items you choose to keep.

Organizing

$60/hour

Need a little organization in your life? Our organizers will listen to your priorities for the space and come up with a new organizational system that works for you! Organizing services can be booked on their own, or can be coupled with a cleaning or decluttering service. You will need to be at home during the organization service to discuss your needs with the organizer and to answer any questions that come up.

Body Doubling

$10-$35/hour

Book:

Body doubling is having an accountability partner to help you stay focused and get things done! It is very effective for people with Autism, ADHD, hoarding disorder, and more.

We offer a few different options for body doubling services; Our most popular option is the virtual group body doubling sessions, available at $30 per 3-hour session. Virtual group body doubling sessions are held every other Sunday from 10:00am-1:00pm and every other Wednesday from 6:00pm-9:00pm.

If groups aren’t your thing, we also offer both virtual and in-person private body doubling sessions! Our body double will bring their own task and will work to complete theirs as you complete yours! If you want to chat with them, they will be happy to chat with you; Alternatively, you can request they do not speak to you. Virtual private body doubling is $30/hr, and in-person private body doubling is $35/hr.

Donation Pick-up or Junk Removal

Don’t have access to a car, time is limited, or you struggle with task initiation? Have such an overwhelming amount of items that need to be donated you don’t know how to begin to get them out of your house? Let us assist you in making a positive impact!

For small loads, we have employees with cars to pick up your donations, making it hassle-free. For larger items, we can arrange a cargo van rental. Please note: in this instance, you will be charged for the rental.

Booking a donation pick-up or junk removal costs $60 per hour, covering the service from the time your Trash Friend leaves their home until the time they drop your donations off. More information on donation spots to choose from is found on the Decluttering Resources page.

Want to save some money? Book one of our other services and we may be able to do a donation pick-up at the same time for a lower fee!

In 2025, Trash Friends will invest in a cargo van, enhancing our service and offering more savings on larger donations.

Trash Friends can help you pack for a move or unpack your new space! You can even take full-advantage of all the services Trash Friends has to offer by pairing a packing service with a decluttering service; Moving is the perfect time to downsize, afterall! Or get help unpacking your new home and having it expertly organized at the same time! Our packing/unpacking, decluttering, and organizing services are the same rate!

Handy Services

$100-$150/hour

Our in-house handyqueers offer a wide variety of handy services! From wall mounting TVs to patching drywall holes, painting, assembling furniture, installing bidets, light electrical work, plumbing, landscaping, appliance repair, deconstruction, and more!

Energy Cleansing

$75-$200/hour

Trash Friend, Storm, is now offering home energy cleansings! Every space holds its own unique energy and can sometimes need a refresh. This could be because you're moving in, experiencing a major event, or you want to add an extra layer to your physical cleaning. Storm can use a variety of techniques including sound, smoke, and intentional ritual depending on your preferences and needs.

Laundry Services

off-site $40/hr

On-site can be bundled into any cleaning service or alone for $50/hr.

We offer flexible laundry services as part of our cleaning options. If you have laundry on-site, it can be included in our regular cleaning service at a rate of $50 per hour. For clients without an on-site washer/dryer, we provide off-site laundry services at a rate of $40 per hour. Please note that any fees incurred at the laundromat will be charged separately.

Additionally, clients can either supply their own detergent and dryer sheets, or we can provide these items for an additional fee. If you would like us to fold, hang, or put away your laundry, we offer this service at $50 per hour, with a one-hour minimum charge. This ensures that we cater to your laundry needs whether at your location or off-site.

Document Shredding

$40/hour

Overwhelmed by your shred pile? Drop your documents off to have them shred! Pick-up is also available for a fee. Documents are shredded in a micro-shredder, which does not only shred documents into strips, but grinds them into a confetti-like material.
